Moments before the ceremony, Matt and I gave each other handwritten letters to read together {between a door}. This was such an intimate moment and I am so glad we decided to do it.

I love when moments like this get captured on film. I always wonder what became of the people in them.. I bet they wouldn’t have guessed that half a century later people would still be admiring them. And think how important that kiss must have been to the both of them, to go to all the trouble. I hope to be kissed with such fervor someday. And I hope they made it.

What Would You Do?: A transgender woman is insulted by a man at a diner. This is a really great segment they did where a trans woman, played by a real trans woman, is insulted and ridiculed by a man (played by an actor, of course) while she serves him at a diner. You’d be surprised at how many people butted in to defend her.

So much faith in humanity restored.

Fucking great how they supported her.

I may need to watch this show more often.

I am literally crying this is making me so happy that there are people who will protect a perfect stranger especially religious people. I’m so used to hearing about people killing, hurting, misgendering people like me that I forget people like this exist.

This is ten times more wonderful than I expected it to be, because besides all those awesome people in the diner, I had watched Carmen on Rupaul’s Drag Race before she started transitioning and ahh she’s just so pretty and sweet and idk I’m really happy to see her I liked her a lot.

Nothing I do makes you happy. I’m never sufficient enough; I’m never smart enough. I don’t go to a UC school like “everyone” else, and I don’t transfer after 2 years like “normal” people. And when I DO finally take the option of transferring after 2 years, you STILL don’t think I’m good enough. I didn’t realize that brand name of the school was so important that you would deprive me of the support I so much need. Even after being strong for so long and indulging myself in 20 units of school while trying to support myself, I still can’t take this. I’m done.
